Throughout the 1990s, Tupac Shakur was one of the most well-liked rappers. Despite being restricted in quantity due to his premature passing in 1996, his body of work is influential and still has relevance today. Though Tupac’s induction into the Hollywood Walk of Fame is scheduled for June 7, it is important to acknowledge that his legacy is not without controversy. Once, Ayanna Jackson accused Tupac of rape, which resulted in a sentence of four and a half years in prison. He was released on bail after serving nine months.
Following her 1995 accusation of sexual assault against Tupac, Ayanna Jackson faded from the public glare. But she returned to the spotlight with the 2017 release of Tupac’s movie “All Eyez on Me” and the 2018 TV miniseries “Unsolved: The Murders of Tupac and the Notorious B.I.G.” In a 2018 interview with Vlad TV, Jackson discussed her experience and the events of the night she was raped in great detail.
During the interview, Jackson disclosed that their initial encounter in a nightclub was fraught with sexual tension. “When I first met Tupac, he kissed me on the cheek and struck up small talk with me,” Jackson said. I eventually said I was sorry and made my way over to the dance floor. I turned around thinking it was my friend when I felt hands go into my jeans’ back pocket, so I was surprised to see it was Tupac.
She went to see Tupac several more times in Parker Meridien after their initial meeting, and during those encounters they discreetly began a sexual connection. She did, however, claim that Tupac was not by himself in the Parker Meridien hotel room on that fatal night of November 18, 1993. “Tupac, Nigel, and Trevor were seated in the living room inside the suite, smoking weed and drinking Absolut,” she stated.
Twenty minutes later, Tupac pulled her with him into the bedroom and requested Jackson to massage him. She sensed the others coming into the room as they began kissing. She claimed that Tupac grabbed her braids and ordered her to stay put. “I can’t physically move because he has his hand in my braids,” she continued.
Jackson also remembered that Tupac had told her, “These are my boys.” I choose to share you with them because I adore you so much. The actor from “Gridlock” and his pals are accused of raping Jackson after that.
“That girl was the reason he died.”
When Jackson accused Tupac of raping Desiree Smith, it was believed that the two were dating. Smith stated in a 2022 interview with “Art Of Dialogue” that she was aware of Jackson since Tupac had told her about the woman. She did think, though, that Tupac would not have hung out with Jackson as a woman. She also thought that Tupac’s mistrust of others stemmed from his interaction with Jackson, which occurred “especially because it was a black woman.”
Smith said, “He did not rape her,” in addition. He did not alter her in any way, save from possibly passing her off. Because she thought Jackson’s incident set off a series of events, she even blamed Jackson of being the main reason of Big’s and Tupac’s deaths. Smith clarified that, “That girl was responsible for both his and Big’s demise because her series of events is what basically started everything.”
